Who Are We
The Urban Diversion team consists of staff and hosts dedicated to creating a community where people can come together in a fun, adventurous, and respectful environment of like-minded people. The UD team doesn't just organize and plan events - we participate and have fun right alongside you, so it always feels like a group of friends and friends of friends!
Meet The Team

Founder - Founder - Adventurer
Lance Evander
Lance is Urban Diversion's illustrious founder and sovereign leader. Lance grew up in Minnesota and completed his Masters study in Germany after visiting a friend and forgetting to come back. Since starting Urban Diversion nearly 20 years ago, Lance has hosted countless groups and events on epic adventures around the world. What he enjoys most, is giving back, taking care of nature, we cleanup our campsites and the campsites of those that forgot to cleanup. He loves building lifelong connections with members, and has even been to some weddings of members that met in the club! We urge caution when spending time with Lance - his adventurous and wild, fun-seeking spirit is contagious!

General Manager - Fun Facilitator
Brian Low
Brian has been working as a professional outdoor guide for a few years now, and is also a Wilderness First Responder. This career regularly brings him to some of the most beautiful wilderness areas like Yosemite. His passion for the outdoors was seeded at an early age when he would go on many family adventures. He loves climbing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, fishing, wake surfing, and so much more. If it involves getting outside, chances are, he'll be down. He loves taking people out to help them experience things they may have done by themselves. One of his favorite quotes from John Muir is, “I’d rather be in the mountains thinking of god, than in church thinking about the mountains.”

EVENTS MANAGER - outdoorist
Christina Atkinson
Christina's connection to nature stems from a long line of hardworking homesteaders, hunters and fisherman. She grew up in small town New Hampshire where her passion for adventure was born from hiking, canoeing, birding and camping. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Grant Development and Project Management, Christina started working to protect the wild places she holds so dearly and soon fell deeper in love with backcountry adventures. They offered something our society seems to be lacking… true connection to nature, ourselves, and deep friendships created outside of cell phones and social media. She strives to bring this passion on every trip she plans, hosts, and attends. Her favorite things in the world include; backpacking in the Eastern Sierra, ocean kayaking, snowshoeing, meteor showers, hiking at sunrise, primitive hot springs, folk music around the campfire and exploring every inch of Yosemite!

Marketing Manager - digital nomad
Rose Werner
Rose leads marketing with a deep belief that the best brands are built on real stories, real people, and meaningful experiences. Drawn to adventure not just for the thrill, but for the connection it creates, she is passionate about sharing the moments that make the outdoors transformative—whether that’s a first-time explorer finding confidence or a seasoned adventurer discovering something new. She is an avid hiker and camper, a lifelong book lover, and a dog trainer who grew up in the beautiful SF Bay Area. Rose believes adventure should feel human, approachable, and meaningful— something that stays with people long after the journey ends.

Destini Brown-Robinson
Meet Destini, our dynamic UK transplant and marketing enthusiast, who adds a spark of spontaneity to the social club. With a penchant for outdoor adventures like hiking and a flair for culinary delights, Destini's love for nature knows no bounds. Festivals and travel are her playgrounds, where she indulges in good food and embraces positive vibes

host - Event Coordinator
Megan Stokes
Adventure seeker, nature enthusiast, and community builder. Megan is driven by the positivity of both the wilderness and the world of human connection. From a young age, she has always believed in the power of shared experiences and creating lasting memories, so her love for her career is rooted deep. Whether it's chilled-out poker nights, sharing a drink at the peak of a mountain, or learning a new skill, she's down for anything. A close-knit community reminds us of the beauty and strength that can be found in coming together as one, something Megan hopes a divided world such as ours can come to realise.

host - social engineer
Dominique Mohler
Dominique started hosting with UD in the summer of 2022, and loves to go out dancing salsa or bachata in her free time! She works as a remote recruiter for her day job, but hosting is her true passion! Her favorite events so far have been the Mad Hatter Murder Mystery dinner party and the Glass Blowing ornament-making events. She has similar previous experience from her time as host for her alma matter, Seattle University, and is excited to be back in the bay with us! Fun fact: she also speaks Spanish.
